READERS TESTIMONIALS

"The Armor of God" helps you put action in your step, as LOVE is a motivator! Read Ms Boone's book and experience God's unfailing love and demonstrate it in your life.”

                                                                                                                                      Helen Linders, a friend

“The Armor of Love was so good, and such a blessing, to see your work in print. It made me take a hard look at my attitudes, etc., and make some necessary adjustments also. My prayer is that the book will be a blessing to countless people as it was to me.”

                                                                                                     Pastor Albert Bytwork, Evangelism Pastor

“I think your book really does a great job of looking deeply into that all important issue of love. With the scriptural references and other comments, I was exhorted and provoked to more love and good works. I love how you emphasized our repeated dependence on the Holy Spirit to live out the otherwise impossible life that God requires. I also appreciated how you shared how the lies we receive from our homes of origin need to be confronted and dealt with for us to experience true freedom. Lies have power, as does truth. But lies enslave and truth sets us free.”

Former Kent County juvenile court judge

“I thoroughly enjoyed your book, “The Armor of Love.” Your writings are powerful. They spoke directly to my heart. I have read it three times and I’m not through with it yet. It’s a small book and nice print; I keep it in my purse to read while waiting. I certainly wish every day I could feel God’s “peace that passes all understanding.” There certainly are steps I can take toward finding that peace in “The Armor of Love.” Whatever the cause of my distress, it comforts me to know that God will work out His plan of LOVE in my life even when I don’t always experience the joy of His presence. I know the Holy Spirit is always with me and every anxiety producing moment God will work it out and all will be well.”

Elaine has written a spiritual memoir that can be used for personal reflection to demonstrate how far we fall short of obeying God’s perfect law and how much we need to draw upon, rely on, and apply the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. “The Armor of Love” is useful for parents to think about what kind of home atmosphere they are creating for their children. From the day that Elaine heard the LORD say, “You need to learn how to love; ”with the power of the Holy Spirit, the means of much Bible study, reading numerous books, and a Christian counselor, Elaine has learned the essence of Christian love.

"The Armor of Love" has been one of the most life-changing books for me this year. I have read numerous books but this one hit home. Yes the author is my very own grandmother. But really the fact is we are a lot alike and have experienced similar things, being in the same family. In so many ways the book seemed targeted at me. I have rarely seen other books discussing 1 Corinthians 13, the Love Chapter. Since love is the bond of perfection and the key to the first and second greatest commandments is LOVE, Grandma's presentation on the lack of love in our lives or at least in mine carries vital significance.

As each character trait was elaborated on I realized over and over again my view of love and practice of it was so limited by my experience and lack of love in my life growing up. My thought processes needed transforming. Many of my perspectives were renewed and I spent many moments in tearful prayers seeking understanding and transformation from my Holy God of Love. The chapter that comes to mind first for me, after reading months before now is the one on perfectionism. Grandma, that chapter has changed my life as did many of the others. I did not realize perfectionism was a sin and would affect other areas of my life.

Thank you for taking the time, effort, and money that was needed to enlighten me, and many others to the truths of God's Word. Your descriptions were personally applied to my life. Thank you. I love you very much. I have seen an enormous change in your life as well Grandma through this giant process of writing and publishing.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!!
